ABOUT

Family owned, Barraco Lodge is a home base offering heartfelt hospitality and quality service to discerning world travelers seeking authentic experiences, in the Puelo area. The lodge became the owners´ life project and it was the first Fly Fishing lodge in the southern hemisphere. The concept is typical Patagonian architecture, created entirely with local materials by local craftsmen. The restoration of an old settlers' house from 1940 was carried out under the direction of one of the most important heritage architects in Chile, Edward Rojas, whose construction philosophy strives for harmony with the environment. With the Tagua Tagua National Park on your doorstep, step out to experience the pristine rivers, wooded valleys and wild waterfalls of this stunning region, and head back to Barraco to revive after a fulfilling day of adventures.
Barraco Lodge has a total of 8 rooms, distributed in 3 guest houses with separate bedrooms and private bathrooms, all en-suite, maintaining a personalized style and spirit. Activities here include trekking, horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, canyoning, jetboat, mountain bike, heliski and helibike; providing all the appropriate equipment to explore by land, air and water, always in conditions of total safety; returning every day to enjoy the fire and delicious homemade food.
