BRIEF JOURNEY

Day 1 - 2

BIDASOA, CHILE

VIP reception at Santiago airport and transfer to your hotel. The journey begins that afternoon by exploring the city of Santiago. We have prepared an exclusive and unique experience for travelers, who will visit the city’s main landmarks, plus its most important markets where they will be able to taste the flavors of Chile. Your second day in Chile will take you to visit the Aconcagua Valley, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Located just 1.5 hrs. northeast of Santiago, this Andean valley awaits to share its wines and terroirs with you. The first winery we will visit is San Esteban, on the eastern side of the valley and a pioneer in growing grapes on rocky soils. After the tour and tasting, you will be invited to a traditional Chilean lunch among the vineyards with views of the valley and the mountains. Continue to discover the roots of Chilean wine at Errazuriz Vineyard established over 120 years ago, and then, return to Santiago.

Day 2 - 3

CASA HIGUERAS, CHILE

Your second day in Chile will take you to visit the Aconcagua Valley, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Located just 1.5 hrs. northeast of Santiago, this Andean valley awaits to share its wines and terroirs with you. be invited to a traditional Chilean lunch among the vineyards with views of the valley and the mountains. Continue to discover the roots of Chilean wine at Errazuriz Vineyard established over 120 years ago, and then, return to Santiago. The next morning we will visit the wine valley of Casablanca, on the road to the port city of Valparaiso.

DAY 4 - 5

MATETIC, CHILE

The morning of day 4 we will explore and unfold the intricate labyrinths of Valparaiso, its hills, alleys and most picturesque places. You will experience typical places that are not officially “touristic”, but that are undoubtedly authentic and full of charm, as well as the port’s most characteristic UNESCO “World  Heritage” area.Your guide will explain and show you the interesting lifestyle of Valparaíso, its charm and magic, neighborhoods and people. At midday on our way back to Casablanca we will take the detour to Rosario Valley, within San Antonio Valley, where we will be hosted by Matetic Vineyard. The stay at Matetic is an experience on its own, its location, wines, restaurant, relaxing views of the garden, and the old “Casona” country house -remodeled into one of the top boutique winery hotels in Chile- will surprise you.

DAY 6 - 7

SURAZO, CHILE

After a morning of activities at Matetic, we will continue to Casa Marin, visiting Lo Abarca town on the way for a unique traditional lunch. The journey continues to the southwest, back to the Pacific coast, all the way to the town of Matanzas, starting point of the southern water sports route, for those who want to combine peace and quiet beaches with adventure, excellent local gastronomy and nature. Enjoy a full day of activities to discover the beautiful surroundings and learn all about Chilean seaweed extraction processes and production. At midday, enjoy a gastronomic lesson by a local chef, plus lunch made all by yourself using local products. Finish the day visiting Pupuya to enjoy a fantastic sunset cocktail.

DAY 8

ALAIA, CHILE

On the morning, you will depart from Matanzas
heading south to continue with more Pacific Ocean adventures. At Punta de Lobos, Pichilemu, you will enjoy Chile’s surf capital and amazing seafood gastronomy. Once in
Pichilemu, Alaia Hotel will host us right in front of the Pacific coast. Enjoy lunch at
Alaia restaurant, made with fresh and local products sourced less than 100 km away, including fine Chilean wines from the nearby
Colchagua Valley. After lunch, cultural visit to Salinas de Cahuil to learn about marine salt extraction and history along the salt routes. The next morning, wake up for a Yoga session at Alaia before hitting the road.

DAY 9 - 10

CLOS APALTA RESIDENCE

Venture into one of the country’s most famous valleys, the Colchagua Valley, considered an icon of wine production in Chile for being home to many of Chile’s top red wines and highly-developed tourism infrastructure.
Visit Clos Santa Ana, a small vineyard located in Peralillo town where wine has been produced for more than 150 years.
Continue the journey visiting Maquis Vineyard, one of the oldest in this valley. Located between the Tinguiririca River and Chimbarongo Estuary, which act as corridors for the coastal breezes that protect the vineyard from frost during spring, and from high
temperatures in the summer. Arrival in Lapostolle Winery for overnight stay at Clos Apalta Residence.
