MALALCAHUELLO NATIONAL PARK - CHILE
ABOUT
Great for trekking and other outdoor sports, Malalcahuello-Nalcas is one of the most beautiful National Reserves in Chile, with the Lonquimay Volcano towering in the background. Located North-East of the Araucania region, this reserve was created in 1931 and has 31.260 hectares of great biodiversity, native forests and a geography of volcanic origin. Among other beautiful species of trees like Roble, Raulí, Coigüe and Lenga that abound here, the Araucaria is the most astonishing - it has been called a "living-fossil", with some trees older than 1000 years old and a diameter of up to 1.80 meters. The reserve is ideal for adventure sports including trekking and hiking, skiing, mountaineering, sport fishing, horseback riding and more.
The fishing season runs from early November through May, enjoy fishing and we’ll take care of the rest.
