This 9 day guided randonee skiing and spilt board journey will take you to some of the most pristine, majestic, and advanced terrain in Chile. After full days of volcano skiing, you’ll settle into locally run hotels and lodges with luxury comforts such as thermal hot springs, local asados, fresh local veggies—and meals we be are paired with local Chilean wines.
In the Lake District and parts of Chilean Patagonia, you can splitboard or ski tour up active and inactive snow-covered volcanoes and end the day in one of a myriad of natural hot springs (locally known as “termas”). From mid-September to late October, expect more daylight hours, corn snow and south facing powder. Yep, south facing! As the main resorts begin to shut down around Santiago, this time of year is where Southern Chile really shines. Laid back ski resorts on smoking, snow-hammered volcanoes are perfect gateways for human-powered snow adventures. Looking to extend the ski season in Chile? Backcountry touring in southern Chile is your answer well into October and November.
