El Colorado Ski Resort is 36 kilometers from Santiago, and is part of the Tres Valles (Three Valleys) of the Andes along with Valle Nevado and La Parva. It is great for beginners and perfect for intermediates.

Located over El Colorado hill, with a maximum height of 3.300 meters, El Colorado Ski Resort is 36 kilometers from Santiago, and is part of the Tres Valles (Three Valleys) of the Andes along with Valle Nevado and La Parva. El Colorado Ski Center is formed of two interconnected villages, each one with hotels and refuges. It currently has 112 tracks and a ski area of 1,100 acres, with 14 ski lifts and 4 chairlifts.

Unlike its neighbors that receive all the attention, El Colorado is not a glitzy resort and is considered more of an affordable locals’ ski area. It is great for beginners and perfect for intermediates. It is also popular with younger generations who enjoy the good terrain park and the vibrant nightlife at Farellones. El Colorado provides the best access to the Farellones chutes and Santa Teresita; backcountry terrain that is accessed via the lifts and road.
