Aconcagua Valley

The valley takes its name from the eponymous river flowing through it, which in turn is named after Mt. Aconcagua (6,960 m). This is the highest mountain in the Americas that directly contributes to the terroirs found in the valley below. Red grape varieties dominate the production in the valley, with Syrah in particular being well adapted to the region's hot temperatures and long ripening season.
